Double Degree Program with Óbuda University (Hungary)

1. About the Program

The Double Degree Program provides students with the opportunity to earn bachelor’s and master’s degrees from two esteemed universities: Óbuda University (Hungary) and SRU KEU (Kyrgyz Republic). Upon completion of the program, graduates will receive the following qualifications:

  • ÓE (Óbuda University):

    • Bachelor’s Degree: BSc in "Commerce and Marketing"
    • Master’s Degree: MSc in "Business Development"
  • SRU KEU:

    • Bachelor’s Degree: BSc in "Marketing and Management"
    • Master’s Degree: MSc in "Business Administration"

2. Credit Recognition

To obtain the diploma, students are required to complete the following credits:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: 210 ECTS
  • Master’s Degree: 120 ECTS

Credits earned at one university are fully recognized by the other.

3. Duration of Study

  • Bachelor’s Degree: 7 semesters
  • Master’s Degree: 4 semesters

4. Language of Instruction

The program is conducted entirely in English.

5. Admission Requirements

Students must apply according to the rules of their respective universities. Application deadlines are communicated in advance.

6. Diploma Requirements

To receive the double degree, students must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Complete all academic requirements from both universities.
  • Earn the required number of credits.
  • Prepare a final thesis under the guidance of professors from both universities.
  • Successfully pass the final examination conducted by representatives of both universities (in-person or online).

7. Mandatory Mobility

The program includes study at both universities. Students can opt for two funding options:

  • Government scholarship
  • Self-funded study

8. Mobility Organization

  • Both universities provide academic transcripts.
  • Assistance with visa arrangements is provided by both universities.
  • Students must have health insurance.
  • The host university helps with accommodation arrangements.
  • Students are responsible for covering their own living expenses, transportation, meals, insurance, and personal costs.

9. Academic Committee

To ensure the quality of the program, an Academic Committee has been established. This includes:

  • Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs
  • Heads of academic programs
  • Project coordinators

The committee analyzes the program’s results and proposes improvements.

10. Financial Conditions

The program accepts between 10 to 20 students. Participation in the program does not create financial obligations for the universities.
